A 2 year-old male Afghan Hound was presented at the clinic for a rapidly growing ulcerated bloody mass on the dorsal aspect of digit II of the right front leg. A fine needle aspiration (1000X original magnification) revealed an homogeneous population of discrete cells having a round eccentric nucleus inside a non-vacuolated basophilic cytoplasm. These cells do not show any criteria of malignancy.
