Cytology Author : Dr Pierre Hébert |
A 14 year-old mixed-breed male dog presented for a mass on the right stifle. The cytologic examination (1000X original magnification) was highly cellular and consisted of mononuclear cells with a central nucleus and abundant cytoplasm filled with purple granules (Diff-Quick®). This cytoplasmic presentation is typical of a mast cell tumor. |
