Feline Chlamydiosis

Micro-organisms can sometimes be found in the cytoplasm of squamous cells from conjunctival scrapings from cats suffering from conjunctivitis due to Chlamydia psittaci infection. This organism forms compact, oval-shaped grape-like cluster in the cells’ cytoplasm (yellow arrow). Sometimes dispersed elementary bodies can be seen.
